The PetSafe Bark Control Collar offers a solution to your dog’s over-barking problem. Worn on the collar of the animal, the Bark Control Collar has multiple features to train a dog away from nuisance barking. Very often the Bark Control Collar will break this bad habit permanently.
The PetSafe Bark Control starts with the patented “Perfect Bark” Technology. This is the most effective bark sensor on the market. What makes it special is that it utilizes both sound and vibration to detect when your dog is barking. Other bark sensors rely on one or the other and are more susceptible to being falsely triggered by external sources. Once barking is detected, a static electricity correction charge is administered.
The Bark Control Collar utilizes the “Temperament Learning System.” This computer-controlled process customizes the training process to your dog's size and bark. The PetSafe Bark Control Collar tracks the number of corrections needed to reduce the number of nuisance barks.
When a dog starts the training program the collar will emit the lowest-level charges to correct the barking. But if the barking continues, so will the level of charge. Eventually the right level for your dog will be set. Then, once the dog has learned to associate the sensation with its barking habit, barking will subside and the corrections are reduced. For safety, if your dog continues to bark over a period of 1:20, the Bark Control Collar will become disabled for three minutes.
