The Ultrasonic Bark Control can settle down a dog with a problem bark. With its sleek, contoured design, it can be placed subtly on a counter, table or floor (it is designed for indoors). Any dog that starts nuisance barking within the range unit (25 feet) will trigger its deterrent system. The Ultrasonic Bark Control releases a high-pitched tone that humans can’t hear but, rest assured, your dog can. The sound is loud and unpleasant to dogs, creating a no-bark area in its range. When a dog barks, the unpleasant noise surprises the animal and he or she quickly begin to associate the barking with the unpleasant noise. This greatly reduces the dogs barking tendency. The Bark Control unit can either be set manually or automatically by a dog's barking. It requires a (not included) 9-volt battery to operate.
We have a wheaten terrier who would bark at the wind blowing. I explained to my wife either the barking had to stop or we'd have to find a marriage counselor.
